Taintor (Zebulon) files on Senate Professional Association, circa 1970-1974

Records include clippings, correspondence, legislative bulletins, minutes, and newsletters concerning contract negotiations, Article 20, Article 38, and SUNY Health Science Centers.  Zebulon Taintor was a member of the SPA Article 20 Committee, chairman of the Article 38 committee and later, president of the Buffalo Health Sciences SPA chapter. Article 20 of the contract between United University Professions (UUP) and the Office of Employee Relations of SUNY concerned salary settlements of professional faculty. Article 38 discussed management topics: promotion, tenure, faculty work load, and funding sources for research.

The Women's Group records, 1983-2018

Collection includes membership rosters, newsletters, event invitations, schedules, committee work, anniversary files, and articles relating to The Women's Group.  The Women's Group was started in 1983 by twenty women in Buffalo, New York as a way to network with and support other professional women. The Group meets monthly and consists of many "women firsts:" first woman Surrogate Court judge in Western New York, first woman president of the American Medical Association, and first woman editor of the Buffalo News, among others.

Thorn (Katherine) papers, 1940-1969

Professional papers pertaining primarily to Thorn's work on speech disorders at the Speech Clinic and in the Department of Speech Communication. Collection includes tape recordings of speech disorders used for class instruction and Thorn's papers as a member of the Committee on the Evaluation of the Student Constitution at the University of Buffalo.

Tobol (Amy Ruth) Papers, 1974-1994

The collection contains material related to Amy Ruth Tobol's academic and extracurricular pursuits at the State University of New York at Buffalo, including extensive involvement in the Anti-Rape Task Force and the Women's Studies Program. Also included are papers which reflect Tobol's positions within the National Lawyers Guild including extensive documentation on her participation in the 12th World Festival of Youth Students (Moscow, 1985).
