The collection includes records from the Office of Urban Affairs, Program in Applied Public Affairs Studies, the School of Social Work, Niagara Frontier Association for Sickle Cell Diseases, African-American Family Gathering Program, and other community or government based organizations, and Panels that addressed African-American concerns and issues both at the University at Buffalo and in the larger Buffalo community.

Includes press
clippings, publications, correspondence, course materials, student records, speech transcripts, presentations, conference notes, research notes, department memos, community based organization by-laws, structure, and financial records. There are also University memos, awards, administrative records, and partnership records between various community based organizations and the University at Buffalo School of Social Work and Office of Urban Affairs.
