Contents
The manuscripts are typed copies of reviews of the Christmas pantomimes Sinbad the Sailor and Little Red Riding Hood, produced at Dublin’s Gaiety Theatre in 1892–1893, underthe management of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Gunn.
The first review is incomplete (pp. [1]–[3] are missing), but its source is "The Pantomine at the Gaiety: "Sinbad the Sailor"," in the Freeman’s Journal, Tuesday, 27 December 1892. Page [5] is headed ”From the Freeman’s Hournal [sic] of Tuesday, January 31st, 1893."; p. [7] is headed "From the Irish Times of January 30th, 1893"; p. [10] is headed "Advertisement in the Freeman’s Journal (one number) dated | 25 and 26 December, 1893." and p. [8] is headed "From the Freeman’s Journal, Wednesday, December 27th, 1893.".
These extracts were probably prepared for Joyce as he was rewriting "Ithaca" and making additions to earlier episodes in Paris in 1921 (see BL "Ithaca" Notesheets). It is not clear if Joyce used these extracts as such for his notes.

This typescript was probably prepared for Joyce in 1920 or 1921.
