Material Description and Collation

The manuscript is a sheet of blue lined graph paper, torn from a notebook, the top edge of which is ragged, which is identical to MSS VIII.A.6.f, 6.g and 6.i, with writing in lead pencil on both sides,in unidentified hands.


The sheet measures 16.3 x 10.4 cm.


The manuscript consists of a copy of the Greek national anthem, with some interlineal translations and some Greek–English vocabulary. Joyce copied the song on MS VII.A.4, p. [11r].


Joyce probably wrote out this song in 1916 as part of his exercises in Greek.
