Revolution: Civil Rights at UB, 1960-1975
This timeline, which accompanies an exhibition in Silverman Library, presents an overview of the great social, legal, political and cultural changes that occurred in the United States and in our community during the 1960s and 70s.
The University at Buffalo hosted many influential civil rights leaders, often at the invitation of UB students committed to raising awareness of important local, national and global issues. Over 150 events are captured on our online timeline, each bringing context and meaning to this pivotal period of time.
The struggle for social justice will be the focus of ongoing events throughout the year at UB.
