The manuscript consists of 4 sheets of torn half-sheets of rolled tan paper, watermarked "L B N | Kiron", double-spaced typewritten black ribbon top (original) copies; the sheets have a ragged top edge. There are corrections in Beach’s hand in black ink on pp. [1] and [3].
Page [1] is headed: "Twilight of madness descends on Swift."
The sheets measure approximately 18.6 x 21.0 cm.
The pages are numbered "(I)"–"(4)" by the typist.
The manuscript is a later typing of MS IX.A.10.i: p. [1] is the text and pp. [2]–[4] are the glossary, the latter includes some of the corrections made on the earlier typing.
Joyce composed this text in October 1928.
See MS XI.A.10.i. Beach kept MSS IX.A.10.i and 10.ii together. The sheets were folded in half vertically. This manuscript was not listed in Spielberg.
