Eleventh Part of the Holograph Scribal Transcription of the "Circe" episode
The manuscript consists of 1 sheet of unruled paper, with a ragged edge that suggest it was cut from a larger sheet, writing appears on the recto in the hand of Cyprian Beach in black ink and on the verso in an unidentified hand, all in black ink.
The sheets measure approximately 20.0 x 15.5 cm.
The sheet was paginated "19" in the lower left margin in lead pencil.
The manuscript is a partial holograph transcription of the Rosenbach (faircopy) manuscript that is continued from MS V.B.13.d.10 and is concluded on this page. This transcription was used as the copy text for the typescripts of this section of the "Circe" episode (Buffalo MSS V.B.13.e–h). The text on the pages is Ulysses 565.08–20 / 15.4955–4967.
Cyprian Beach also transcribed Joyce’s notation "[end of Ulysses | Part II]" from the final page of the "Circe" episode of the Rosenbach manuscript.
This manuscript has been reproduced in black and white photo-facsimile on JJA 14.379.
The word "Examinations" was written in an unidentified hand above a horizontal line across the page in lead pencil on the verso. There are traces of a paper clip on the verso.
