Fifth Part of the Holograph Scribal Transcription of the "Circe" episode
The manuscript consists of 9 sheets of unruled paper, with ragged edges that suggest they were cut from larger sheets, writing appears on the rectos only and the versos are blank, in the hand of Cyprian Beach in black ink, with corrections and additions in Joyce’s hand in black ink on all of the pages.
The sheets were paginated "1"–"9" in the lower left margin in lead pencil.
The manuscript is a partial holograph transcription of the Rosenbach (faircopy) manuscript that is continued from MS V.B.13.d.4 and is continued on MS V.B.13.d.6. This transcription was used as the copy text for the typescripts of this section of the "Circe" episode (Buffalo MSS V.B.13.e–h). The text on the pages is as follows:

This manuscript has been reproduced in black and white photo-facsimile on JJA 14.338–346.
There are rust traces from paper clips on pp. [5] and [7]. The sheets were folded horizontally in the center, probably together with MSS V.B.13.d.6 and 13.d.7.
