VIII.A.6.e: Other Notebooks: Miscellaneous Zurich Notes: Greek Grammar Exercises (1916)
The manuscript is a half sheet of unruled paper, the top and right edges of which are ragged and the bottom edge was torn off, with writing in black ink on the recto only, probably in Joyce’s hand.
The manuscript measures 14.5 x approximately 17.9 cm.
The manuscript contains the principal parts of verbs in Greek (Owen, p. 96).
Joyce probably wrote this in 1916 as part of his exercises in Greek.
The words "hirsh beer" were written in light green crayon near the bottom of the sheet, possibly in Joyce’s hand.
This manuscript has been reproduced in black and white photo-facsimile on JJA 3.293.
The sheet was folded horizontally and vertically in the center.
