Material Description and Collation
The manuscript consists of a loose sheet of unlined, off-white typing paper. It is a double-spaced typewritten bottom (carbon) purple ink copy, with corrections in the hand of an unidentified amanuensis in black ink; the verso is blank.
Measurements
The manuscript measures 26.9 x 20.6 cm.
Contents
The manuscript is a duplicate copy of a later version of an insertion for the second proofs for transition 15 (February 1929); the typesetters’ copy is BL MS 47484b, f. 313. See transition 15, 15, 213.27–35 as well as FW 499.04–12. The manuscript is a retyped version of Buffalo MS VI.F.5.

Dating
The manuscript was probably typed in late January 1929.
Other Markings
The typescript is also tagged with a large "A" in the upper left margin in black ink, presumably in Joyce’s hand. BL MS 47484b, f. 312 is similarly tagged, as is the copy of the transition proof where the insert belongs: BL MS 47484b, f. 312 (JJA 59.018).

This copy of the typescript has not been reproduced, but BL MS 47484b, f. 313, was reproduced in black and white photo-facsimile on JJA 59.019.
