*VI.F.8 [VI.E.1]: "Work in Progress"/Finnegans Wake Typescripts: First Typescript of Haveth Childers Everywhere/Finnegans Wake III.3§3B (1929):
The manuscript consists of 14 loose sheets of heavyweight paper, watermarked " Johannot et Cie | EXTRA STRONG". They are double-spaced typewritten top (original) black ink copies, with corrections, revisions, and additions in several hands, possibly including Joyce’s as well, on all the pages in black ink and on pp. 2, 5, 6, 8. 10, and 11 in blue crayon; the versos are blank.
The typescript sheets measure 26.9 x 21.0 cm.
The rectos of the sheets are numbered "1.", "2.", "3,", and "4"–"12", "13,", and "14" in the upper margin in black ink.
The manuscript is the first typescript version of the "Haveth Childers Everywhere" section of FW III.3 for separate publication (Paris: Henry Babou and Jack Kahane & New York: The Fountain Press, 1930; Slocum and Cahoon A41). See FW 532.06–554.
