Material Description and Collation
The manuscript consists of a loose sheet of Grand Hôtel de la Poste, Rouen, stationery, which Joyce used vertically, in black ink.

The manuscript measures 27.0 x 18.5 cm.
Contents
The manuscript is the second sheet of a letter to Beach in which Joyce instructs her to emend her (second carbon) copy of the typescript (BL 47474, fs. 186r–202r) for the printers of the Calendar of Modern Letters. Although a partial set of galley proofs was set up by the printers (BL 47474, fs. 204–206; JJA 48.153–155), "Anna Livia Plurabelle" was not published in the Calendar of Modern Letters. The manuscript was probably written on 31 July 1925.
Other Markings
The manuscript is headed "" in the top right corner in Joyce’s hand in black ink and was included in the letter from Joyce to Beach.
Publication
The correspondence was published on JJSB59–60 (#67) and LIII 122–123. The manuscript itself has been reproduced in black and white photo-facsimile on JJA 48.135.
