The manuscript is a loose sheet of blue stationery with Joyce’s address printed in the top right margin of the recto in blue ink: "2, Square Robiac | 192 rue de Grenelle". The emendations are in Joyce’s hand in black ink. This is the same kind of paper as MSS VI.E.6.a, E.6.b, and VI.I.39.
The sheets measure 20.9 x 26.8 cm.
The manuscript is an extradraft sheet that instructs Beach to emend a (missing) copy of the second typescript. See FW 423.16, 436.08, 439.15, 450.36, 454.29, 485.33, 505.13, 509.13, 516.17, 520.03, 522.33, 537.23–24, 538.09, and 538.19.

Joyce had made a list of these emendations on MS . VI.B.12.034. Joyce also made all but one of the emendations on the extant pages of a copy of the typescript (BL 47483, fs. 61, 167, 169, 174, and 176; JJA 57.259, 267, 269, 274, and BL 47484a, fs. 128, 137, 139, 140, 144, 148 and 149; JJA 58.160, 261, 265, 269, and 270).
