Material Description and Collation

The manuscript is a loose sheet of Grand Hotel Victoria, The Hague,stationery; it has an illegible watermark. Joyce wrote on the recto and verso of the sheet in black ink.


Measurements

The manuscript measures 27.4 x 21.5 cm.


Contents

The manuscript is a letter to Beach in which he instructs her to verify the setting of a revision he had made on the galley proofs (BL 47472, f. 368; JJA 46.162) of transition 4 (July 1927) and it appears correctly in the printed text. See transition 4, 47.07 as well as FW 076.07–08.

Dating

Joyce wrote this manuscript on 6 June 1927.


Other Markings

The date "9 . 10 . 23" was written (probably by Beach) in the right margin of the verso in black ink.
